Another new BLOG in the KautzCraft tradition. WELCOME!
I called this one Quantum Design.
I use “Quantum” because I just like the word. One definition is “a required or allowed amount” and that combines with Design just fine.
In my creative craft activities, I enjoy DESIGN as much or maybe more than the creative and tangible finished product.
I do like to see it all come together as a finished product. However for me the process is my enjoyment. The finished product is the “reward” at the end.
I will display whatever I make on these pages and many other blogs. But I want to use this blog to concentrate heavily on the design process.
The design tools such as hand sketching and software (CAD)
Also all the various tools (machines and hand) required .
I have many creative craft interests and my focus does change.
Examples:
Machine tool metal working shop, wood working carpentry and CNC overheard routing, Wax carver and lost wax-metal casting, LASER cutting and engraving, 3D printing using photosensitive resin and heat extrude thermo plastics. Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM).
This is not and all inclusive or exclusive list. There are no rules or limits to what may spark my interest,
I should include web-posting as one of my visible hobbies or crafts. I do a lot of this. It’s less tangible as a “touchy-feely” solid item. But I do have to be creative in the design of what I post or present. So it that way, my blogs are also a Quantum Design effort.
